Hello Holos'!!

Happy Weekend! Guess what?!?!! The sun showed today! AND that means.......HOLOs! (and a super pic heavy post ;)
I also tried to create a multi chrome holo...
 sneak peak hehe

For the base I did 2 coats of Milani Orchidia, a pretty purple with some silver/glass flecks. It would have been pretty opaque in 3 coats but I was not so concerned about VNL

then...
with 2 coats of Milani Cyberspace
(letting the pics do the talking)

Aren't those holo colors amazing?1

AHHHHH SO pretty!! I love holographic polishes! And not to mention how amazingly beautiful and glass flecked it looks in the shade. The purple underneath makes it a more blurply color and adds a tiny bit of duo chrome. This isn't quite linear but more tightly scattered. And of course the holo is about 100x better in real life...

Oh and I don't know why my pointer finder looks so blue, but if you were to wear the color without a colored base coat that is more what it would look like.

What do you think? love or LOVE?
thanks for watching!

Dots on Dune

Hey gals! Today we have my semi first nude polish, Sally Hansen Dune (this is part of their Smooth and Perfect line).  I also did some nail art but I will save that for last.
Application wise, it could have been better. This is 4 coats, no top coat. Formula was the tiniest bit on the runny side. The brush was a tad wider than normal.  But overall, it worked out. I took the Dune pics in my makeshift light box, the others in the sun. Onto the pics!!

Can you see the micro shimmer? I wish I had taken some bottle shots in the sun.

Dune is a neutral nice with the tiniest bit of gold micro shimmer... Definitely not a flat creme.

Now to the nail art! Some simple dots with the dotting tool.

Another option of nail art with the base of Dune...(my left hand)
I added one coat of my first franken, (unnamed) a sheer sparkly golden based top coat.

The franken topcoat really makes the polish make my skin tone a little bit more. And it adds some fun shimmer! (what micro shimmer should really look like ;)

Anyway, that is my manicure for the next few days.
**side note**
*because of how time plays out, I will be posting once a week, or whenever I change my manicure. I do not swatch colors much, but take pictures as I do the manicure that I wear for a few days.

here is a BONUS pic of part of the reason I don't  have as much free time lately.

Sky BLue

Happy Weekend!
Here's are cheery nail polish of the day! One of my nameless frankens made with an assortment of blues...
I might be calling this 'Cheer me up!' because it does just that whenever I wear it ;)

application was good, a little on the thin side but builds nicely.
3 coats with topcoat.
They was some tip wear, as I put it on last night and did not wrap tips

Some nail art!

I'm still felling very spring-y and happy so I was motivated to do some nail art! This is also for a contest ;)

All the flowers are blooming and everything looks and smells so nice. This is inspired by this flower here from this picture I found on the internet.

Its rather small clicking to enlarge won't really help...

Here is my nail art!

I had some fun posing....

Bet you guys are wondering how I did it!! Well, I started off by sponging a base with white, sheer pink, and a peachy color. Later I realized I could have just used a sheer pink base coat...Then, I sponged triangles with a yellow/gold in the center of my nail. Finally I added some stripes of a dark red/berry!
Tadd-A! I am very proud ! :D

bonus pic!!

Shortie little post here...
My little sis loves nail art and wanted me to take a picture of her NOTD! She has such tiny nails!! lol

She insisted on a close up.

spring sunday!

I believe it is still officially winter, but it sure feels like spring...We finally had some rain! (Yay plants)
Anyway, I'm switching my mind set to spring feel-good colors. During all the seasons, I try to have a manicure that cheers me up/inspires me/ makes me feel happy! Spring is just more so. Onto the polish!

This is actually another guest appearance from my right hand. I think she will be making more appearances on my blog. ;) I am wearing one coat of OPI Alpine Snow and 2 coats of my franken, Mazarine* Salt (yay a franken with a name) top with a coat of SV. I think this would also look cool over black but the white brightened it up.

 *Vocab word of the day!
Mazarine : a deep, rich blue*  Im deciding to pronounce it Maz-ar-I'-ne

Its a little chipped up, but you get the picture.

Mazarine Salt is a sheer blue based pearly polish with scattered blue sparkle particles (the salt).
I recommend clicking on the pictures to ENLARGE them! You can see the sparkles better. One coat would have left the sparkles sitting more individually, to a cool effect.

Also, I will try put up a new poll on the sidebar biweekly. I encourage you to take part!

Happy Sunday!
