Blue frankenawesomness and glitta

Hi loves <3

Today we have a beautiful layering combo with 2 frankens...

First is just a sky blue, with a crelly (creme/jelly)  consistency.

Sun

Shade
In my anticipation of some glittery sparkly etsy polishes, I tried to combine a few of my own glitters to create a semi peacockish polish.

Below with a matte top coat.

Then I added a shiny top coat... (you can see the awesome holo sparkles)

year of the dragon/ vday mani!

Happy Friday!!
The other day I was trying to do a V-day mani, but it turned out to be more of a year of the dragon mani...

I used this "funky clouds" idea that I saw on Nailside. She has a great tutorial  right here.
For my base I used Orly Haute Red. Then I did the clouds design with Milani Gold Rush. The I matted it.
This combo is very BOLD...definitely not one of my usual combos. These colors look great together though. I might try this with a blue instead of the red..

Thoughts/Suggestions?
thanks!

Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint

Its been a long time since I have done some konad, so I decided to spice up this mani...

Here is 2 coats with one coat of SV of Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint

Formula was relatively good, first coat kinda streaky second coat evens it out. The brush was nice, though wide, so beware, wide brush haters lol.
Nevertheless, we have seen this color millions of times. If you don't have anything like it though, its a great buy for only $1.99!

I do have some complaints about the name...
It is definitely not a green color, although there are just the TINIEST bit of green undertones.
This pic is pretty color accurate .

This isn't my favoritist picture, but the light was running out... Here I stamped with Milani Gold Rush using plate m64.

With flash, here is the matted version.

a more flattering picture ;)

The matte (as usual) adds a more subtle and soft feel. In this case, I think it makes the color scheme seem more Greek...or reminds me of pool tiles.

funky french!! blue and black

hey all!
today we have a great funky french. I was looking for something to do with my 2 day old blue franken mani, so i decided to add some tips, to hide the chipping. Something simple, using tape. I have see this style on many other blogs and wanted to try it myself!

pretty pretty!!
the matte definitely gives it a more subtle look while the glossy is more sharp.
do you guys want me to do more nail art? which is your favorite, glossy or matte?

i used an orly mini sheer pink for the base and stamped with my usual black

Then i added one coat of essie's matte about you

here is a cool mani i did...
it has different metal-like colors ( gold silver bronze berry)
slight ombre ness
with a matte finish
over the matte, i did flowers using my dotting tools

i love how the glossy flowers pop out against the matte

this is 4 coats OPI Alpine Snow

essie "downtown brown"

hi y'all ;)
when i first got this color i was looking for a perfect brown
at first i was dissapointed at its sheerness and non brown ness
then i tried it yesterday and totally loved it!!!
to describe it i would say its a
beautiful fall color , deep crimson, plum, red brown, very sophisticated, red wine
great formula, but rather sheer
here

and here is the matte about you effect i talked about ;)
i did it as an accent finger
but i liked it better high gloss
so i ended with my SV
later i added some rose konad( m65)  and it looked amazing :)
too bad my camera won't work at the moment

matte about you!!

sorry i havent posted in a while ;( I've kinda slacked off
anyway I'm back in the game!!
i received essie's "matte about you" a top coat that makes the polish have a matte finish
here is the polish
ill show the effect in my next post ;)

be sure to check out a new gadget i added on the side
its a poll for what i should do next

Revlon Emerald City matte finish

later today i decided to do a subdued mani
i used revlon "emerald city" matte finish
this is my first matte polish!!!

as you can see...emerald city is a very pretty green with tidy sparkles
I love it!!!
i wanted to see what it would look like without the matte finish
so i did an accent nail with my SV
the SV makes the tiny green glitter stand out a little more but i still love the matte finish
very sophisticated ;)
for those of you who don't know what a matte finish is google "matte nails"

I'm still awaiting the arrival of my konad stamping plates
